untonuggan: a drop spindle and the products of my first week of spinning (7 balls of yarn in various colors) (spinning week 1)

Another nice thing about dyeing/spinning: chunky is SO EXPENSIVE here omg, because of course most yarn prices are based roughly on weight. But if I buy fiber wholesale and spin and dye it myself, I can make it whatever weight I want and whatever color the dyeing gods opt to give me and it's lots of fun and way less expensive. And it keeps me from randomly buying fiber that I don't need.

Am currently spinning some Corriedale. Debating whether to ply the singles (which are roughly DK maybe?) into doubles and get half the yarn but twice the speed, or leave them as singles...wait who am I kidding. ;)
