Pondering next knits...with Homespun *g*

I am thinking of using that lovely Best Tea China Wensleydale Yarn I spun (and fiiiiiinally had the energy to "full" and finish today, meaning it will be knittable tomorrow) to make a scarf similar to this Lacey Art Yarn Scarf. Bonus: big needles. Not sure what I will do with it once it is done. Probably will save for the holidays. At least, that's what I tell myself.

Also, am thinking of making something for my uncle with this Corriedale I've been spinning:

Corriedale sheep fiber
Small ball of chunky cream 2-ply yarn made from Corriedale sheep fiber sitting on a wooden table

This ball is only about 36 yards, but I managed to spin up a total of about 69 yards so I think I'm set if I wanted to knit something. OTOH, I have a LOT of this fiber...so theoretically, I could spin it all up and use it for one big project. Decisions, decisions! I also have some *other* wool coming in the mail, and am thinking of spinning the Corriedale with those...or knitting the Corriedale with those...

so I think I will probably make my uncle some fingerless gloves similar to the ones I made my grandmother, but men's size. I might edge them in some dark green Cascade 128 I have, or I might just leave them as cream. Am undecided. (This is relevant even in spring, because it's coooold in my aunt and uncle's house in Yorkshire and he is at the compy quite often.)

So that's the state of affairs! It's so hard to think of what to make sometimes. Also, have discovered that store bought yarn right now for me has become, "Something to use until I've spun enough handspun to knit with" or "something to stripe with my homespun." Is interesting. I never expected to enjoy the feeeeeeeeeeeel and texture of it so much. (Sweaters, though, will probably still be machine spun yarn - at least for the moment.)
