Tilt table tests are thoroughly unpleasant - they do them for labyrinthitis, too, as well as tests where they fill your inner ear with water and track your eye responses - but they really do seem to deliver good results for diagnosis. Sometimes I think the tests are so bad to put people off having them unless they really need to.
