I sometimes find, for my own brain weasels not anyone else's, that if I'm having random free-floating anxiety/hypervigilance, watching something a little bit "darker" can help give that anxiety a channel. Like catharsis is very much a thing and it's giving it a way to get out of my body as opposed to just lurking around, doing its thing.
But I totally understand that not everyone works that way. <3
