lap blanket finished!
This was the "zombie knitting" project I started in March omg, to work on when I couldn't focus on anything else.
It is gorgeous and soft and warm, and while I was originally planning on giving it to Project Linus I think now it is going to my grandmother as a lap blanket. Because it took 8 months, and I think I will just knit more chemo caps for charity or quilt a blanket for Project Linus. My grandmother will appreciate 8 months of knitting.
In case you were wondering, the pattern is indeed based off of "Grandmother's Favorite Dishcloth." With stripes.

A light green and dark green blanket with stripes going along the diagonal lying on a bed.

The reverse side of the blanket
Partner has threatened to steal it, because so comfy! So has mother. I told them my grandmother has cold knees.

I have taken up knitting again (though it is hit and miss depending on how I feel). I started my own zombie knitting project for those nights when I cannot focus to do much of anything but still want to do something. I have worked on it a bit while watching Sherlock. :) It's going to eventually be a blanket, though I imagine it will take me substantially longer than 8 months to finish.

Yaaay that you've taken up knitting again! Hurray blankets! Might one suggest that if you ever get bored or discouraged, you knit a quick fast project to give you the "oh yay finished object bonus" in knitting that sometimes happens? This is what I do with long projects, but I don't know if your brain works with more than one project going at once. (For example: coffee cup warmers are nice! Easy holiday present!)
