* Being able to walk properly again. The achilles tendon injury is slowly but surely healing up. I even managed to shower standing up last night! * Seeing the lovely Christmas decorations and displays: up and down high street, festivals, markets, dinners, all of it. * The general good cheer brought about by the season. * Putting my foot down and having Christmas on my terms this year. * Putting together our Christmas letter. I look forward to it all year. :-) * Watching the earth go dormant. * Appreciating the stark beauty of winter. * The long nights which make me appreciate the long days, and also give me time to rest.
