'SPX' stands for 'Small Press Expo' and it is the name of the awesome sauce con that I went to this weekend. Too much awesomeness to go into detail about at the moment, but I met the following people:

Jeph Jacques of Questionable Content
Kate Beaton of Hark a Vagrant! (And she drew me a sketch of one of the Bronte sisters because I was wearing her Bronte sister t-shirt. She's reading and it says "Aw yeah the hunkiest part")
Jess Fink and Eric Colossal. I haven't read Eric's stuff (my partner has), but I <3 Chester XYV (which is erotic robotic Victorian...er...romance). Also I made them laugh with a story about priests' holes. (The secret rooms in English houses where people would hide Catholic Priests from the Anglicans who wanted to kill them.)
Keith Knight (who draws the Knight Life)
Julia Wertz, formerly of Fart Party and now her comic is called something new that I forget
Meredith Gran of Octopus Pie
Danielle Corsetto :D of Girls with Slighshots
David Malki ! (of Wondermark) and I bought the book "Machine of Death" and so I got a card to tell me how I am going to die, so now I know to watch out for Engine Failure
I also got a mini-comic "Don't Hate, Menstruate!" from Jen Vaughn. It's adorable.

I think that's it...I will go back and add links to comics later, I think. When I'm not running out the door to physical therapy.
