 I have gone from someone with way too many diagnoses but who'd never had a seizure into the rabbit hole of hospitals and tests to find out whyI suddenly had atypical seizures in a row. Am in fact still having the odd one so plz nothing flashy or bright. I had an ambulance ride in which I felt like a silly waste of public funds...until we got here and anyway the whole thing is mysterious enough that I have been admitted to the hospital. ...I often have seziures which they technically call 'myoclnic jerking', maintain consciousness during it, but the body parts bash around under their own volition for quite a while...electrical storms increase them for me, as do things like cold weather, exhaustion, and even romantic stuff, as the body needs to discharge energy and has arrived at this for me...I hope things get figured out for you...I never suffered any harm from the maybe 15 years+ of convulsions, if that's any help to you: I simply make sure I lie down on a bed or couch and try not to bash the head too much (which often diverts the energy to make the legs or arms etc. whip around)...good luck! I had some during a music rehearsal last week, and just went to the nurse's office there, lay on the cot while flailing around, and it worked out fine...she was nice and non-alarmist...
