So there has been MUCH debate in my house since Rogue got his diagnosis of acute kidney failure about when is too much pain, too much suffering, and when to just let him rest.
Current plan, which everyone (amazingly) seems to be on board with: spoil him rotten for the next week and then call the at-home pet euthanasia vet. After all, we're having Thanksgiving dinner and he might want in on some of that.
My heart is heavy whenever I open it up to thinking about it, but I really think it's the right thing to do. He's having increasing trouble walking and it looks like he probably has a recurrent UTI and...he's just not enjoying himself most of the time.
So. Just so you know, extra love and support next weekend (or in between now and next weekend) would be much appreciated.
