I love this idea as an exercise, and it feeds right into some of the stuff I try to do in tabletop-RP sessions. Yes, Pathfinder is pretty solid wish fulfillment fantasy, but seeing how and when people solve the problems at hand is absolutely fascinating.
I like giving my players challenges that are solved best by lateral thinking, empathy, and consideration of consequences. (Also ones solved by pure awesome and a side of swashbuckling, but y'know. Tabletop RP.)
