Yay/Boo 8/4/13

- My lymph nodes (all over my body - armpits, neck and other bits) are swollen to the size of peas. Also my throat is sore, my eyes are dry, I have an occasional cough, and I think I'm coming down with something I caught in the hospital...that I also gave to partner probably, because she has similar symptoms. Unless it's mono, in which case we got it earlier and can't blame the hospital. Ugh. Feel like body is slowly falling apart.
- Weird headache was maybe related to this? Because partner also had one that she thought at the time was a cluster headache.
- Dear gods I hope it's not mono.
- I feel like a total hypochondriac thinking things like that, and then I internalize it. But I really do feel awful and my brain goes, "it's probably something horrible and awful because it usually is." And even if it's "just" a cold, those usually take me ~1 month to get over. So yeah, not pleased.
- Feel like if I go to the doctor again I will scream, but I have multiple appointments this week. Mostly though with my therapist which is just hard work right now, but still takes !spoons! so I don't have play/relaxation time.
- Might have a cavity too.
- Body in general just feels like it is falling apart; trying really hard to take care of it but I'm half expecting something to falll off any minute now as though I were a zombie.
- Animal Crossing is a really good distraction when my arms are too sore to knit or spin; I have built a second floor on my house, have good feng shui, am filling up the museum, and am in the process of getting a fountain (because honestly, who really needs a basement when you can get a fountain first?). Oh, also, Nookington's is happening finally.
- Massage again tomorrow! Huzzah! Srsly need it.
- I was really afraid the seizures/shaking would affect my ability to spin, but things are *cross fingers* actually going better now.
- Got a new drop spindle that is bigger so plying will hopefully be less of a pain in the tuckus. *cross fingers* Am slowly spinning enough yarn to make plying some yarn worthy of a test run.
- Finished knitting those fingerless gloves for my mom's birthday and made a gift bag. Now I'm left with the oh-so-terrible quandry of what to knit next. Oh, heavens! (I really should dig out some unfinished objects...)
- Sent some yarn/knitted things to their various recipients. Yay! We shall see how they like them!
- Missed the soapmaking class but practiced srsly good self-care in the meantime.
- Tea.
spiralsheep and others making seriously cool art for naart.- Dog still hella playful.

Date: 2013-08-04 03:29 pm (UTC)If you have an achy tooth, it could be sinus-related. I had a horrible cold once, and I complained at work that "Now I have to go see the dentist, too!" Someone told me about the sinus cavities inside the mouth, and sure enough, the ache was nothing more than that.
Now in menopause I've learned that hot flashes can play havoc with the sinuses. Sometimes my gums start tingling as a hot flash kicks in!
Bodies. Who designed these things? *shakes head*

Date: 2013-08-04 07:44 pm (UTC)I am glad to hear that spinning's going well, despite all the potential complications! I hear about quite a few people who use spinning as a sort of meditation. :)
Much, much success to you in remaining un-zombified. . . .
