Inspired by jjhunter, who is inspired by someone else. Yoinking the beginning of her post, in which all is explained:

Inspired by [personal profile] dingsi's permanent wishlist post; I'm also borrowing his disclaimer -
Let me say two things first though:

1. It is okay to want nice things. Post your wishlist! You don't have to be/do something special to "deserve" one! Just accept that sometimes people want to give you nice things! Because it makes them feel good, and/or they think you are rocksauce, or: because!

2. It is okay to not give someone what they want. People can be broke, out of energy, too busy, or simply go "eh, I'm not feeling particularly close to this person" and shrug and scroll past. Doesn't make them bad.
- and rules/guidelines. This is meant to be "an updated wishlist that people can access all year, without stress", and all comments will be screened by default unless you explicitly give me an okay to unscreen.

Rules/Guidelines:
  • I won't post more than 10 list items.
  • I'll keep my list up to date - e.g. remove (or set apart, or strike through) granted or outdated wishes.
  • I won't expect anything. People aren't obligated to fulfill my wishes, just like I'm not required to fulfill theirs. It's not a popularity contest.
  • I'm going to thank people, either privately (phone, email, private message) or publicly in this entry. In case you do NOT want me to mention your name, please let me know somehow!
PM if you need my address to complete a thing.

My Wishes

Tangibles
  1. Yarn or roving. In particular, I like blue, purple, and green and have a particular fondness for soft. I don't really care whether or not it's machine washable or not, but at the moment I have a plethora of tiny yarns and would appreciate yarns that are worsted weight. (If its' super cool, I also have a stash of some sport/DK and some chunky yarns, but I'm hoping that getting enough yarns in the same weight will allow me to knit things like afghans or sweaters or who knows what.)

  2. If you can't/don't want to pick a yarn yourself, will gladly accept gift certficates of any amount to WEBS yarn or nerd girl yarns.

  3. Dreamwidth points are always nice

  4. I like stationary from far-off places

  5. I constantly run out of stamps, especially the pretty ones. I typically use Forever stamps and International Letter stamps.

  6. If you like wish lists, I do keep an amazon.com wish list up for my family's general use that you are welcome to peruse. (My brother, it is the only way he shops now.)

Things which I probably won't remove from the list, because they always make good presents:

  1. Snail mail (which I will gladly send in return, if desired).

  2. Chatting with me on AIM or gchat, which helps with social isolation due to mobility issues.

  3. Creating things yourself! Photos of anything that you have created, be it knitted, baked or the photograph itself! (Similarly, posting your own writing when my brain has the brain cells to concentrate on fiction.)

  4. Commenting on my posts, particularly ones where I post photos of things I've created. Or am having a bad brain/pain day.

RECEIVED:
